HEY!
I am Dianne.
Art has always been part of my life. I like my paintings to take myself and viewers to someplace. I paint to be part of a painting. My work is strong in colour and texture. I am influenced by an impressionistic style. I work mostly in oil, but have worked in watercolour, acrylic and mix media.
I worked as an emergency nurse for over twenty years. This has greatly influenced my views in life, and my desire to paint escapes. Since a young child I have always been involved in art. In the 90's I studied as a part time student at Emily Carr School of art.
My home has mostly been in Vancouver but my visions are from around the world. From 2000 till 2006 I lived in Ontario were I worked in an open studio/gallery painting in public spaces. From 2006 till 2013 I took artistic leave for business and health reasons. I am painting again and believe in the healing of art.
Currently showing works at Brushstrokes Gallery and have a home studio in North Vancouver
My work hangs in private and corporate collections in Canada, United States and the UK.
